One Year of Three Birch Hill
August 1st, 2025 marks one year since the launch of Three Birch Hill’s online shop—and what a year it has been.
This past year has been a season of deep exploration, creative growth, and building something meaningful—from the ground up. It’s been exhilarating, humbling, and at times, profoundly challenging.
Like any meaningful journey, it hasn’t been a straight line. There have been moments of doubt and discomfort, but also breakthroughs, joy, and connection. I’ve learned more than I ever imagined—not just about running a business, but about trusting my own voice and vision.
The Hard Parts
Facing my financial fears and learning to navigate uncertainty with grace.
Putting myself and my work out there, even when the answer was no.
Carving out consistent time and space for creativity in a life already full—with family, logistics, and everything in between.
The Bright Spots
Meeting new collectors and hearing your stories—your thoughtful feedback and shared appreciation for art and beauty have been the heart of this work.
Joining a business class and finding a network of fellow creatives and entrepreneurs—community and encouragement truly make all the difference.
Learning to celebrate the wins, big and small. Reaching this one-year milestone is one of those moments that feels especially sweet.
To mark the occasion, my husband and I hosted a small summer fête—a gathering of some of Three Birch Hill’s most loyal collectors and creative collaborators. It was a joyful, intimate celebration of the relationships and rituals that make this work so meaningful. I’ll carry that day with me always.
I have a post-it note on my desk that reads:
“I don’t do it for approval.
I don’t do it for them.
I do it because I love it.”
And while that’s completely true—this is work I do from the heart—it’s also true that your support means everything. Knowing this work resonates with you keeps me going on the hard days. It’s a quiet, powerful reminder that I’m not creating in isolation—this is a shared space of beauty, purpose, and intention.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this journey. I can't wait to see what the next year holds.
With love and gratitude,
Ariana Winston
