Autumn Whispers
& a Special Silent Auction Surprise
No journal entry last week—life has been full in the best way. I’ve been spending my spare moments during these crisp, pre-autumn days reliving our recent family trip to Nantucket (our first big adventure since our daughter was born!) and editing home videos that feel like little time capsules. I’ll be sharing more soon, but for now, suffice it to say: summer memories are slowly being crystallized in amber.
And now, as the mornings take on a chill and slippers have become my constant companion, I find myself leaning into this beautiful in-between season. Here are a few things I’m loving lately:
Fresh apple cider donuts from Salinger’s (still warm, if you get there early!)
Japanese anemones just starting to bloom — they’ll carry us gently into Thanksgiving
Stacks of new reads from the Lewisboro Library Fair (our bookshelves are overflowing in the best way)
Speaking of the Lewisboro Library Fair, I’m thrilled to share that Three Birch Hill will be donating something very close to my heart for the silent auction: the very first giclée print in our limited edition run of Highland Mists (11" x 14", beautifully matted and framed, and ready to hang).
This piece was inspired by the mysterious mists and raw beauty of the Scottish Highlands, and I hope it brings a sense of wild, autumnal serenity into the home of its new owner. All proceeds from the auction go to support our beloved library — a true cornerstone of our community.
We hope you’ll stop by the Fair and help us support this special place.

📍 Onatru Farm Park, 99 Elmwood Road, South Salem, NY
One more treat: I’ll be baking my newest obsession — coconut cupcakes with marshmallow buttercream — for the bake sale table. If you made it to our summer fête, you already know these are dangerously good.
Looking forward to seeing you there, maybe with a warm cider in one hand and a good book (or cupcake!) in the other. 🍂
